Supplied Art Requirements

Please ensure your digital files adhere to the following prepress requirements. Failure to provide printable files can result in delays and additional costs if we have to spend time fixing them.

ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMAT

• PDF

• EPS

• Photoshop supported file type (JPG, TIFF etc) - please use minimal compression and supply as 300ppi at the final print size.

We may be able to accept other files (In Design, Illustrator, Corel Draw etc) But please check with us first.

NOTE: MICROSOFT DOCUMENTS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR PRINTING.

COLOUR

Full Colour Artwork: CMYK colour mode for ALL offset jobs. RGB colour mode is acceptable for digital printing.

Black Text: Please ensure all black text is 100% (K)

Rich Black: Large areas of black should be 100%K & 70% Cyan

Black and White: Black only. Convert all images to greyscale

Spot Colour: For offset spot colour you must be specific. Specify Pantone Matching System colours (PMS Colours).  Feel free to visit us and view our colour books.

SIZE

Please refer our common size specifications for definitions. Artwork MUST be correctly sized and include a 3mm bleed where appropriate.

BLEED

If your finished print is to meet the edge of any part of the page, you must supply artwork with an additional 3mm bleed on all edges (full bleed).

FONTS

Press-ready PDF or EPS's will embed fonts which is why we prefer these formats. If supplying other filetypes you need to either supply font files or convert all fonts to paths/curves.

RESOLUTION

Minimum of 300ppi for colour and grayscale images, 1200ppi for bitmap and line art. Low resolution web graphics are not suitable for printing.

MICROSOFT APPLICATIONS

It is OK to supply a mock up of what you want as an MS Word or MS Publisher document but please note we cannot guarantee a quality print job from these files. Please ask if you are unsure.
